Granite, Marble and Quartz Staircases
Staircases can be installed in marble, granite or quartz, the three stones best suited to stairs.
A marble staircase has a unique flowing vein pattern that follows the movement up and down the steps.
A stone staircase is hard-wearing, easy to clean and instantly makes an entrance feel more luxurious. We cut and install treads, risers and landings in granite, marble and quartz, made to measure for straight, L-shaped and curved stairs.
Choosing a stone for stairs
- Granite: the most hard-wearing choice for busy stairs
- Marble: a classic look, with veining that can flow from step to step
- Quartz: consistent colour on every step and no sealing
For safety, we can add anti-slip grooves or a honed or leathered finish to the front edge of each tread.
