Caesarstone Porcelain or Caesarstone quartz?
Caesarstone Porcelain comes from the same company as Caesarstone quartz, but it is a different material. Quartz is for indoor use, while porcelain is heat resistant and UV stable, so it also works for outdoor kitchens, braai areas and patios. Colours include Midday, Clearskies, Smokestone and Fume, shown above.
Why choose porcelain
- Heat resistant, so hot pans will not mark it
- UV stable, suitable for outdoor kitchens and braai areas
- Very low porosity, no sealing and hard to stain
- Large, thin slabs, for islands, wall cladding and tabletops
Porcelain is very hard on top but can chip if the edge takes a hard knock, so we usually recommend a mitred edge on kitchen tops. Compare it with other options on our porcelain and sintered stone page.
